PERSONAL STATEMENT:
In 1991 Melissa and I were married at the Four Seasons Resort and were immediately drawn to the spirit and aloha of the island. We found ourselves coming back several times a year staying longer each time. After our children, Casey and Makena (named after Melissa's favorite beach,) were born they were included on our visits to Maui and we loved watching them enjoy the sandy beaches and warm Maui waters. Everytime I left the island I would get this overwhelming feeling as if part of me was being left behind. Maui has so much to offer everyone! There are beautiful beaches, spectacular sunsets, inspiring sunrises, lush forests, mountains and green pastures. The restaurants here offer the most amazing in culinary tastes! In addition to the fine dining, there's so much rich and diverse cultral entertainment including theater, dance and music. Since we love the ocean and the mountains, we were thrilled to find an endless assortment of activities such as golf, tennis, surfing, bodyboarding, windsurfing, kite boarding, wake boarding, kayaking, fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, whale watching, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking and motocross! Eventually we stopped dreaming of living in Maui and decided to make our dreams a reality!
Maui has slowly become more progressive over the years. Starbucks, Costco, Home Depot, Lowes, Sports Authority, Pier One, WalMart, Office Max, and Borders were just some of the significant changes that brought many of the amenities of the mainland to Maui. The economy has been changing dramatically from what it had been in the late eighties and early nineties. More and more mainlanders were learning of the pure beauty of this island. There are so many opportunities for personal, spiritual and economic growth. This belief is evident in the significant migration of "baby boomers". Those who buy in Maui, but don't move here , see the investment opportunities available in Maui. Some are purely planning for their retirement by investing in Maui before it becomes "out of reach".
We chose to move to Maui for the slower pace of life as well as to enjoy quality time as a family. The spirit of aloha among the beautiful people of Maui and our family is what makes this wonderful island our home. Working here doesn't feel so much like work. And, we get to celebrate the close of almost every day with a breathtaking sunset, a good glass of wine and a prayer for our blessed life.
If you are thinking of investing in real estate what better place to invest? Maui is a tropical paradise offering diverse investment opportunities to an international market. Now is the time to INVEST IN PARADISE!
